Phil Odom, LCPC Vice Chair
Phil Odom has been a resident of the McIntosh Community of unincorporated Liberty County for 32 years. He served with the Boy Scouts of America as Adult leader, Cub Scout Pack 500 and Boy Scout Troop 500 for 21 years. Phil was an operations manager and environmental compliance officer in the petroleum industry. He was also a Georgia DNR Commercial Fisherman for 10 years. Phil is a University of Georgia Certified Coastal Georgia Master Naturalist. He was a founding member of the Ogeechee Riverkeeper Education Program, and presently serves as an Honorary Board Member. Phil also served on the Liberty County Board of Commissioners Citizens Advisory Committee.
Phil is currently a member of the State of Georgia’s Coastal Georgia Water Planning Council, Liberty County’s Liberty Regional Water Resources Council Technical Advisory Committee, and the Liberty Consolidated Planning Commission.
Phil’s goal for Liberty County, while serving as LCPC Commissioner, is to be proactive in planning for Liberty County’s future, and to seek a balance between the economic needs and ecological resources of Liberty County.
