Janet Howard stands as a beacon of leadership and excellence in Savannah’s real estate realm, boasting an illustrious 19-year career that has left an indelible mark on the industry. Her journey commenced in sales in 2006, and in 2009, she elevated her expertise by securing her Broker’s license.
Ms. Howard’s ascent in the field was meteoric, swiftly establishing herself as a top sales associate and earning a plethora of designations and certifications that positioned her as an industry luminary. In 2012, she was handpicked to participate in and successfully graduate from Leadership Savannah, a prestigious civic program designed to groom and challenge future leaders in their quest to positively impact their communities.
Recognized by the Georgia African American Leadership Institute for her dedication to promoting professionalism among young males in the community, Ms. Howard’s commitment to excellence was further validated in 2011 when she was voted the Best Real Estate Agent by the Reader’s Choice Awards in Savannah. She also received the Outstanding Member Award from the Savannah Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors.
Fueling her passion to inspire fellow real estate professionals, Ms. Howard pursued further education, graduating from the Georgia Realtors Leadership Academy with a focus on industry and association management. In 2015, she obtained her Georgia Real Estate Instructor’s license, empowering her to share her wealth of knowledge and contribute to the education of the next generation of real estate professionals.
Ms. Howard’s leadership extends beyond her local community. Actively involved in state committees, she tirelessly works to advance the real estate profession. In 2018, she achieved a significant milestone by being elected President of the Savannah Area Realtors Association, an organization boasting a membership of over 2,800. Her influence also reached the Georgia Real Estate Educators Association, where she served as President in 2020. Moreover, Ms. Howard has held the position of President of The Savannah Chapter of Women’s Council of Realtors, underlining her commitment to empowering women in the industry.
In 2022, Ms. Howard assumed the role of President and CEO of the Savannah Multi List Corporation, overseeing assets exceeding $4 million. Her strategic vision and unwavering commitment continue to shape and elevate Savannah’s real estate landscape.
Adding to her accolades, Janet Howard was featured in 2023 at the RisMedia Power Broker Forum in Washington, DC, further solidifying her status as a powerhouse in the real estate industry.
