Larry D. Baker, LCPC Commissioner
Larry D. Baker is a native and resident of Walthourville, Georgia. He is a 1988 graduate of Bradwell Institute. He has been employed by ESG for 29 years and is currently the Parks and Grounds Team Leader. Larry served on the Walthourville City Council for 12 years. He was also the Mayor of Walthourville for 4 years.
He is a member of the Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church where he served as a Trustee for several years. Presently he is a member of the Men’s Choir, Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry and Cemetery overseer. He is married to Brenda Baker and they are the proud parents of Latoya Burns, Brittany Welch and Lauryn Baker. They also treasure their four grandchildren. He enjoys singing with the Gospel Cousinaires and the Liberty County MLK Male Choir.
Larry’s desire is to contribute rational decisions on planning and zoning matters that are presented to the commission. He is well aware of the growth spurt in Liberty County’s residential, commercial and industrial projects that will require careful planning supported by an educated, congenial and visionary board of commissioners. His years of experience as a councilman and former Mayor of Walthourville on zoning and related matters will serve as a great benefit in his endeavor to help plan the progressive future of his beloved Liberty County, Georgia.
